VÉRTIGO is a student-led editorial lookbook created under Curtin University Mauritius. This project aims to explore individuality, rebellion, and raw self-expression through fashion, styling, and photography. The magazine is a collaborative space for creativity — bringing together student models, stylists, designers, and photographers to create an unapologetic visual narrative.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Hello!
I’m JAM, a design student at Curtin University with a passion for creative direction, visual storytelling, and conceptual design. VÉRTIGO is a project that represents everything I love about fashion and collaboration — freedom, identity, and self-expression.
Through this lookbook, I want to create a space where people can feel confident, experimental, and seen for who they truly are.
Meet Abby!
Abby is currently pursuing a Foundation in Art and Design at the Academy of Design & Innovation. He is a multitalented creative with a sharp fashion sense and an eye for capturing raw emotion through the lens.

PROJECT AIM
The aim of Vértigo is to create a collaborative student fashion project that celebrates creativity, confidence, and individuality. The lookbook will showcase Y2K-inspired streetwear and explore how fashion can serve as a form of rebellion and self-expression. This project also offers young creatives, models, and stylists an opportunity to gain experience, exposure, and portfolio material while contributing to a real-world design publication.
The sign-up deadline for the project is 10th October 2025. All photoshoots will take place between the 11th and 20th of October, allowing the production team enough time to complete the magazine layout before final submission on 22nd October 2025. After submission, all participants will receive a free digital copy of the magazine. Printed copies will also be distributed soon after, available at a reasonable cost to cover printing expenses.
